  • Meeting participants (Pro): paste the attendee list from an invite, an email or anywhere, or take a screenshot of it, and Hark reads out each person's name and email. Copy anyone's email with one click, and add, edit or remove people during the meeting or after it.
  • "Maybe Sarah?": when someone says a name just before another person speaks ("Sarah, what do you think?"), Hark suggests that name for the voice. One click to accept. Participants and names you've used before come first when naming voices.
  • A new Windows installer: Express installs with no questions; Advanced lets you choose where Hark and your recordings go, a desktop shortcut, and what Hark may send us. Hark updates itself with it from now on.
  • Deleting a meeting while Hark is still processing it now stops the processing cleanly.

  • Mark who's talking during the meeting: add the people in the meeting, press whoever is talking (or Ctrl+1, Ctrl+2...) and watch it on a live timeline. You can also name a "Voice 2" right in the live transcript. Hark uses all of it when it finishes the transcript, so there's nothing to fix afterwards.
  • Echo removal: listening to the meeting on speakers? Hark takes the meeting audio back out of your microphone, so the other people come through the clear computer audio and your mic only carries your voice.
  • Recognize more people: anyone can set up Hark to recognize their voice on your computer. They sit down, read and sign the consent themselves, and read a short passage. Each voice is kept for 6 months and can be deleted any time.
  • Hark Pro: new accounts get their first 3 recorded meetings and 1 imported recording with every Pro feature, free. New in Pro: Word, PDF and subtitle exports, and search across every meeting's transcript. Enhance voices, projects and your stats are now part of Pro.

Your download has started

Opening Hark on your Mac

    Open the downloaded file and drag Hark into your Applications folder.
  2. 2
    Open Hark from Applications. macOS will say it can't check Hark for malicious software. Click Done.
  3. 3
    Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway next to the message about Hark. Enter your Mac's password if asked.
  4. 4
    Hark opens. You only need to do this once; after that it opens normally.

On macOS 14 and older you can instead Control-click Hark in Applications, choose Open, then click Open.

Why the extra steps? We're getting Hark signed and notarized by Apple. That's coming soon, and then Hark will open with a double-click like any other app.
